This Info Action proposes naming the Protocol Version 12 hard fork in recognition of Fabian von Bergen, known in the community as Zyroxa. According to the proposers, Fabian had been part of Cardano since the Incentivized Testnet, operated the Tempus Stake Pool, served as a Cardano Ambassador from the earliest days of that program, and was a familiar and candid voice on the Cardano Forum — a humble, hard-working, kind and honest person who said what he thought and stood his ground. He died in January 2026. The action was submitted by a group of Cardano Ambassadors.
Why SIPO Voted Yes
Cardano has a long-standing practice of naming hard forks in ways that reflect its history and the people who built it — Plomin, van Rossem. That practice is not cosmetic.
